Other apps talk at a fixed point in a course, or grade every sentence you say. Flique speaks from your own memory instead. Your partner uses the words your reviews say you know, adds at most one new word at a time, and never scores you. Every language gets its own partner; in French, that's Séraphine. Talk out loud or type, and your partner works the same either way, in seven languages.

How it's different
It speaks from your memory.
The scheduler has always tracked how well you know every word. Now something speaks to you from that, and hands new words straight back to it.
The loop closes
Meet a word you want to keep? Tap it. It enters your normal review schedule, introduced properly and never tested cold. The conversation feeds the same memory engine that made the conversation possible.
Say it, don't type it
Speak instead of type. Your partner hears you the first time and answers at the speed of a real conversation, still only ever in words you know. Follow along as each word lights up while your partner speaks it.
One conversation, over weeks
Each language has its own partner, and the thread carries forward. The words you reached for last time come back until they're yours, and last week's line becomes this week's opening. One tap to continue.
More than a chat
A partner now, a teacher when you ask.
Nothing you say is scored or corrected while you speak. Afterward, a short note points out at most a couple of phrasings worth a second look: no counts, no red marks, nothing to freeze over.
Practice the exact conversation you're about to have
A doctor's appointment, an interview, a call you're dreading? Describe it and your partner role-plays it in the words you already know, so you walk in rehearsed. Kept on your device until your event, then cleared.

How it works & how it's handled
Your partner runs on a large language model through Flique's own service. When you talk out loud, your voice is turned into text by a speech-recognition service and then handled like any other message. Your recordings aren't kept, and everything you create by learning stays on your device and your own iCloud. There are no counters or meters to watch, though on a marathon day we might ask you to pick it up again tomorrow.
